Milwaukee's NO/NO return with the follow-up to last year's album Sound and Light. The new EP, entitled Twentysomethings, is a loose concept record about communication, or lack thereof, in 2017: social media, cellphones, dating apps, etc. Throughout the record, the band delivers 5 delicious apathetic pop nuggets that speak indirectly about getting wasted, partying, blind dating, texting and "FOMO." This release marks a first for the band by way of bringing in an outside producer. Synthwave wunderkind and Gloss Records labelmate Dashcam helms the mixing desk for these five pop jams, adding his signature Drive-esque production techniques to the band's already established Synthpop identity. Includes digital download. Pre-order the cassette here!
The EP will be released on 10/17 with a release show at Linneman's featuring Zed Kenzo, Dirty Dancing and a performance by producer Dashcam. You can stream the first two single "Twentysomethings" and "Take Out" below.
