Milwaukee Record made the official announcement today: "On Saturday, May 19, seminal Milwaukee band The Delphines will reunite for a one-night only show at Mad Planet. The previously hinted-at headlining performance will be part of Gloss Records’ third annual Gloss Weekend, May 17-20 at Linneman’s, High Dive, Club Timbuktu, and Mad Planet. Also, The Delphines ruled/rule, and this will be great."
The Delphines were one of Milwaukee’s most notated and growing bands of the early 2010s. Receiving national and international blog coverage and acclaim for its string of EPs and singles. The group is recognized as a prominent albeit short-lived band of the Milwaukee music scene, landing their 2012 EP, God Help the Delphines, and 2014 album, Hush, in many of the city's music publication’s year end lists.
After the exit of singer Jami Eaton in 2014, the remaining three band members, founded G|L|O|S|S Records in order to put out the band's last album, Hush. Along with the help of Rio Turbo/Platinum Boys member Joe Peterson, the label has since grown to include some of the most diverse and talented artists in Milwaukee. The remaining three band members went on to form the post-wave band NO/NO.
